-This course is designed for general practitioners and specialists who want to learn and advance their soft tissue understanding and management skills around primarily around dental implants
-Biology, Diagnosis and Treatment planning of mucogingival defects and science behind soft and hard tissue management is discussed
-Principles used in esthetic and non esthetic gingival augmentation around implants (Developing a decision tree) will be presented and discussed in great detail. Large emphasis placed on augmentation and management of the esthetic zone with hard and soft tissue reconstruction.
-Recipient and donor site preparation, harvesting techniques(Free gingival grafts, Connective tissue grafts,VIP-CTG, socket seal, pedicled grafts, tuberocity autogenous and non autogenous tissues) and donor site protection will be discussed and practiced in hands on.
-Autogenous vs other biomaterials will be compared as used in implant soft tissue management as well as various soft augmentation procedures.
– Review of flap designs and suturing techniques and materials will be reviewed
– Management of post-operative complications.
-3 day Hands-on pig jaws performing Free Gingival Graft and Connective tissue grafts as well as various techniques to prepare and delivery grafts in each clinical situations, suturing techniques, harvesting and site preparation techniques used prior, during or after bone augmentation procedures in preparation for implant therapy.
-24 PACE-approved CE credits will be provided by the end of the course.
